Youth Football coaching opportunities

Bristol Central Youth Football Club are looking for individuals who are interested to coach at grass-roots level for the 2019/2020 season.
We are a club which is rapidly growing, based at the heart of Bristol. We welcome volunteer coaches over the age of 16 who wish to get involved with either running their own side or assisting an existing side.
There are opportunities to learn and develop as a coach with many experienced coaches readily available to support.
We have teams in age groups from 7 to 18 of all abilities.
Our club is a community-orientated club which has won several awards for its local work and diversity.

Cam Everside YFC are currently looking to recruit an U15 coach for the upcoming 2019/2020 season.
It is an established team playing on Saturday mornings in the Severn Valley Youth League. The team already has someone doing all the admin allowing you to concentrate on coaching the team on their journey through to open age football.
All FA qualifications will be paid for by the club to begin your football coaching journey.

Tetbury Town FC are looking for a head coach to lead our Under 18 team in the upcoming season.

We have a very talented and enthusiastic bunch of players who will be playing their football in the North Wiltshire Youth Football League Division 1.

The ideal candidate will be minimum FA Level 1 qualified and the club would look to support this further if required.

Yate Town are looking for a new manager.

Yate Town compete in the Southern League Football Academy - a combination between the Southern Football League (Evo-Stik South) and Isthmian League to create the English Semi-Professional Football Academy (ESPFA), encompassing the whole tier of the English football pyramid. 

The programme, for 16-19-year olds, is split into education in the morning (delivered by a college tutor) and football training in the afternoon, as well as competing in the SLFA League, Cup and FA Youth Cup.

Quedgeley Wanderers are looking for an aspiring coach to help with their U8 and U10 Girls teams for the upcoming season.  We are based in the Kingsway area of Gloucester.

We are a charter standard club that is building our girls programme with a focus on long term player development.  Our current head coach of both teams has over 15 years experience and will help assist you with your coach education.

You will be expected to both assist and run practice sessions, as well as alternate between teams on game days (1 week with U8, the next with U10).

It is a voluntary position and is ideal for someone with their FA Level 1 or someone who is looking to get into coaching (the club will help cover costs for the Level 1 course)

Toolstation side Almondsbury Fc are looking for a Reserve team manager to run our Suburban Premier Division team and work closely with the first team Manager.

The successful candidate will also be required to take a strong interest in overseeing/developing and progression of his side, whilst promoting younger talent into the first team.

They will have a good knowledge of the game and assist with coaching sessions when required, have the ability to attract playing staff to strengthen the club. Coupled with an appetite for the game and looking to develop ones future in management at a senior level. Coaching badges are preferred; however FA coaching badges are made available to the successful candidates.

Preferably some coaching qualifications (minimum FA Level 1), with aspiration of developing U18s ready for the step up into Adult Football, working closely with the First Team and Reserve Team Managers, matchdays are Sunday afternoons and mid-week training (pre-season Weds Evenings, during season Tuesday Evenings). There are U18 Players currently at the club, however new players are also very welcome, team selection would be down to the new Manager who will have a completely free reign over the U18s team with as much support provided by the club as required by the Manager.

Fishponds Old Boys FC are an ambitious club who presently have two senior sides that play in the Bristol Suburban League on Saturday afternoons, our home ground is located in Downend (BS16)

We are looking for a new manager to run our reserves side.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and passionate person with a good understanding of the game and can communicate well with players and other management representatives within the club.

We are a very social club who love our football as much as we enjoy a beer after the games where the banter and drinking games begin.

Key Duties:
- Contacting players for match availability
- Squad selection in liaison with First team manager
- Ensuring all equipment / kit are brought to all matches
- Collecting of players Subs
- Assisting with training
- Helping / attending club social events
- Preferably at least FA L1 qualified (not essential)
- Willing to complete the FA First Aid in Football Course (if not done so already)
- Able to attract new committed players that will buy into the ethos of the club with a positive attitude.

Kingsway Rovers Reserves are seeking a new manager to lead a side who have secured 3rd place in the Stroud and District Division 5 and are, from the previous season, Section 5 Charity Cup 2017/18 winners. 

The successful candidate will be pragmatic with, ideally, a Level 1 FA Coaching badge or significant experience of coaching football at a similar level. The is also an expectation that the successful candidate will come in with a professional attitude and desire, understanding that the club is after success and professionalism. 

We would like a manager for the 19/20 season in full with a view to managing beyond this. 


- Manage the team both tactically and in terms of starting 11 and subs

- Attend and run training sessions

- Work in conjunction with the 1st team Manager to discuss potential players moving to or from the Reserves

- Be an active part of the managerial staff and proactive in player management and, potentially, recruitment.

- Have regular dialogue with the Kingsway Rovers FC Committee to discuss any team or club issues/queries

Andoversford FC are recruiting 2 positions within the club. 2nd and 3rd team managers.

With the first team being successful recently the club wants to make the gap smaller between the firsts and seconds. The club will ensure lots of support is put in place for the correct candidate.


The current 2nd team manager Ben Wright is stepping down, he wishes to continue concentrating on his playing career and The Andoversford committee would like to thank him for his work over the last 3 seasons.


The 2nd team manager responsibilities and expectations

• Managing our team currently in the 3rd division of the Cheltenham league. 
• Target will be to get the team promoted from that division and through the Cheltenham league system. 
• Recruit and utilise players capable of making the step into our First team.
• Organise suitable pre-season friendlies
• Attend and run training sessions on a weekly basis. 
• Creating a management team around you to help with other routine tasks
• Organise a match day squad ensuring they are prepared for the match.
• Report results on FA Full time
• Liaise with First team and 3rd team managers regarding availability of players. 
• Report to the committee on a regular basis regarding performance.
• Attendance at social events and presentations of the club


The current 3rd team managers Leo Ennis and Lee Edwards are also stepping down due to work commitments.

Our 3rd team has always been there to support the club in giving game time to some of our senior players and to bring in young players. These youth players have developed into reserve and first team players over the years.

3rd team management and expectations

• Manage our team currently in the 4th division of the Cheltenham league. 
• Target will be to perform as well as possible in that division. If we can get promotion that would be great. 
• Recruit and utilise players capable of making the step into our Reserve and potentially first team
• Liaise with Reserve team managers to ensure they are aware of players capable of making the step up. 
• Assist training sessions being run by reserve team. 
• Creating a management team around you to help with other routine tasks
• Organise a match day squad ensuring they are prepared for the match.
• Report results on FA Full time
• Liaise with reserve team managers regarding availability of players
• Report to the committee on a regular basis regarding performance. 
• Attendance at social events and presentations of the club
