Referee Awards

Gloucestershire FA presents four annual Referee Awards that look to recognise match officials who have shown exemplary commitment to refereeing.

Match officials can be nominated throughout the season with winners being announced alongside the FA Community Awards.

The four referee award categories are:

  • Young Referee of the Year (Under 25 years old)
  • Male Referee of the Year
  • Female Referee of the Year
  • Referee Volunteer of the Year

FAQ's
Anyone can nominate a referee for consideration, but this must be done in writing and submitted to us by emailing support@gloucestershirefa.com
Yes, but not in consecutive seasons.
The successful winners will have:

- More than two years experience
- Shown consistent availability
- Have an exemplary record
- Participated in off-field activities to support colleagues
- Support and attend GFA training events
- When is the award presented?

The awards will be presented to the winners at the annual Gloucestershire FA Awards Evening, which usually takes place in June each year.
