Referee Awards

Gloucestershire FA presents three annual Referee Awards that look to recognise match officials who have shown exemplary commitment to refereeing.

Match officials can be nominated throughout the season with winners being announced alongside the Grassroots Football Awards.

The three referee award categories are:

  • Young Referee of the Year (Under 25 years old)
  • Female Referee of the Year
  • FA Long Service Award (25, 40 and 50 years service). Click here to begin a nomination application for the FA Long Service Award.

Individuals can also nominate match officials for the England Football & Grassroots Football Match Official of the Year award. The nomination window for the England Football & Grassroots Football Awards open around spring (March/April).

The GFA will provide details on how to nominate match officials for either the Young Referee or the Female Referee of the Year  later in the season.

For further information, please get in touch using the details below.
