League Accreditation

Ability Counts Youth League now Accredited by England Football

The ACL has been recognized for its commitment to the highest standards.

The Gloucestershire FA is delighted to announce that our Ability Counts Youth League is now Accredited by England Football.

As an Accredited League, the ACL leads the way in terms of governance, sustainability and safeguarding. This is a fantastic achievement that reflects the hard work put in by the GFA Football Development team to ensure that the League operates to the very highest standard.

“The Ability Counts Youth League is a fundamental part of football within our County,” said Hattie Tidwell, GFA Football Development Officer for the Disability Pathway. “It offers children the opportunity to play competitive Disability Football in a safe, inclusive environment – and the Accreditation that we have now received is proof of that.”

Clubs are welcome to apply to enter new teams into the Ability Counts League. Please contact Hattie for more details: Harriet.Tidwell@GloucestershireFA.com. Likewise, players looking to get involved can also contact Hattie for more information about how to get started.

We are giving volunteers the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to provide opportunities within the Disability Pathway. Attend our event at Oaklands Park this February to get a headstart on your Journey to Inclusion!. Learn more here.
