Grassroots Football Awards 2024

Grassroots Awards return for 2024

Nominate your Grassroots Heroes now!

Nominations are now open for the 2024 Grassroots Football Awards.

The Grassroots Football Awards are here for you to say thanks to all the people who give their time to make football happen. Our incredible volunteers give their all week-in, week-out, rain or shine. We want to find the volunteers, clubs, leagues, officials, grounds teams and others who have stood out this season. This is your chance to show them how much they are appreciated!

This year we are welcoming nominations in 12 categories, many of which are returning favourites from last year:

  • Coach of the Year - Female Pathway
  • Coach of the Year - Disability Pathway
  • Coach of the Year - Male Pathway
  • Club of the Year
  • League of the Year
  • Match Official of the Year
  • Young Volunteer of the Year
  • New Volunteer of the Year
  • Grounds Team of the Year
  • Keeping Football Positive Award
  • The Lioness Award
  • Bobby Moore Award

Click here to check the nomination guidelines to see what we’re looking for. Remember - it is the quality of the nomination that matters, not quantity. Make sure to give as much detail as you can about why your nominee is a worthy candidate.

All 12 categories will have a local winner right here in Gloucestershire, as decided by an independent judging panel. Our local winners will be honoured at the Gloucestershire FA awards ceremony, and they will also be put forward for consideration by the national awards panel. The best of the best will be selected as national winners and will be invited to the 2024 Community Shield for a spectacular event at Wembley Stadium.

Nominations will close on 3rd April 2024. You can click here to make a nomination.
