WELCOME TO OUR NEWEST MEMBER OF STAFF, Skye Smith

Skye joins the Gloucestershire FA as our new Women & Girls Football Development Officer. We asked Skye about her experience in football and what she's looking forward to in the role.

"I am delighted to be the new Women and Girls Football Development Officer at Gloucestershire FA!

I’ve loved football for as long as I can remember and as I’ve gotten older, my passion has turned into wanting to develop the women and girl’s game to get it to where it deserves to be. Prior to starting at the GFA, I have been a Sports Coach in a Primary School and have also been a member of the FA National Youth Council for 2 seasons. Being part of the FANYC allowed me to explore a further passion for the power of youth leadership too. I am also on my 4th season coaching at the Gloucestershire Girls Coaching Centre and I coach an U14 Grassroots Girls team.

I can’t wait to get started in this role and make sure women and girls in Gloucestershire feel as though they have a place in football."
