CPD Event for New Club Welfare Officers 

Our next CPD event for the Club Welfare Officers taking place on 21/09/23 7pm-8:30pm! 

The GFA’s safeguarding officers, Gemma Szakacs and Laura Faulkner, will be running a workshop aimed at New Welfare Officers, although all Welfare officers welcome if they feel they would benefit from a refresher.  

The workshop will cover topics such as the role and responsibilities of Club Welfare Officers, qualifications required, the FA approved DBS check process, recognising signs of abuse and reporting concerns. 

After the workshop there will be a drop-in session and chance for Club Welfare Officers to ask questions, share ideas or identify ongoing training needs.
