GFA to deliver webinar for open-age Club Welfare Officers
As of the 2023/24 season it is now a requirement for all open-age Clubs in England to have appointed a Club Welfare Officer. There is currently no requirement for the appointed individual to have completed any formal training, and so Gloucestershire FA is delighted to announce a session helping to upskill some of the volunteers filling this important role across the County.
Date: Thursday, 23rd November
Time: 7:00pm – 8:30pm
Online via MS Teams | Free to attend!
We will cover...
- Defining adults at risk
- Recognising signs of abuse
- Reporting concerns
- Key legislation
- Best practice guidance
- Player welfare & signposting
The session will be delivered by County DSO Gemma Szakacs and we look forward to seeing you in attendance.
