Girls School Football Festival

On the 16 & 17 June alongside with the University of Gloucestershire, England Football Coach Development Officers and FA Women’s High-Performance Centre, we supported a UEFA Women’s EUROs inspired Girls Schools Football Festival at the University of Gloucestershire (UoG).

In the lead up to the 2-day festival we trained around 30 young leaders from Denmark Road High School and Churchdown School.

The 16 and 17 June saw over 200 girls from key stage 1 & 2 attend the UoG’s 3G pitch and engage in training sessions before playing games in the afternoon.

The sessions were led by the young leaders and supported by UoG students, England Football Coach Development Officers and the FA Women’s High-Performance Centre Officer.
