WELCOME TO OUR NEWEST MEMBER OF STAFF, AND THE FOOTBALL SERVICES TEAM, MARTIN McCONACHIE

Martin joins the Gloucestershire FA as our new Football Services Officer. We asked Martin about his experience in football and what he’s looking forward to in the role.

“I am delighted to start working as a Football Services Officer focusing on discipline, affiliation and county cups with the Gloucestershire FA.

Football has always been a big part of my life. I started watching my then-local team Yeovil Town at the age of four and since then, have volunteered & worked there, written two books and commentated for the visually impaired. For the past nine years, I have been secretary at firstly Oldland Abbotonians and, latterly, Hengrove Athletic.

Since 2017, I have also worked as an in-stadium analyst for OPTA Sports. All these roles combined have furthered my love for the game, and I cannot wait to bring my energy and experience to the role."
