Welcome to the Football Development Team, Jacob Owers 

Below Jacob talks about his experience in football and what he is looking forward to in his new role as Football Development Officer (entry-level):

"All my life I have played and been involved with Football at a range of levels, and I have a real passion for the game which has given me a great desire to pursue a career with the sport. I'm very grateful to have this opportunity to be a part of the County FA and look forward to starting my career in the football industry.

I've been here at Oaklands park for nearly 4 years now as a staff member and played representative football for the county 2 years prior to that. In that time, I have supported almost every department in some capacity, picking up essential knowledge and skills that i believe will help me in my new role.

More recently I became a full time member of the Football Services team, mainly supporting in the running of adult County Cups, both North and South. As well as this, at the end of last season i took on the role of Centre Manager for both the girls ACC and Development Centre programmes, something I am really enjoying and look forward to continuing in my new role.

I can't wait to get started in my new role as a Football Development Officer and continuing my career here at the Gloucestershire FA."
