Gloucestershire FA to Launch New Mini-Soccer Skills Centre and Goalkeeper Coaching Centre
Gloucestershire FA are delighted to announce that we will be running a new Mini-Soccer Skills Centre and a new Goalkeeping Coaching Centre from 2020/21 for young players.
The Mini-Soccer Skills Centre will cater for players in the U7s and U8s age groups, whilst the Goalkeeping Coaching Centre will be available for young goalkeepers in the U9s to U16s age groups.
The 2 new Centres form part of our new Coaching Programme, alongside the new Boys Development Centre, designed to support young players learn new football skills and enjoy the game.
The Mini-Soccer Skills Centre will provide weekly sessions for boys and girl, focusing on developing the fundamentals of football, whilst the Goalkeeper Coaching Centre will provide weekly goalkeeper specific training for boys and girls, to support their development as young goalkeepers.
Both these sessions will ensure that the players’ development, health and well-being is at the forefront of the programme.
The Mini-Soccer Skills Centre will provide sessions for players in the U7s and U8s age groups (School Years 2 & 3).
The Goalkeeping Coaching Centre will provide training for players in the U9s to U16s age groups (School Years 4 to 11).
Both the Mini-Soccer Skills Centre and Goalkeeper Coaching Centre will be based at Gloucestershire FA, Oaklands Park, Almondsbury, Bristol, BS32 4AG on the 3G Football Pitch and this training will take place on Friday evenings from 4.55pm – 5.50pm.
The Centres will run through 3 Terms with dates as follows:
Term 1: Friday 13th November – Friday 11th December (5 weeks)
Term 2: Friday 8th January – Friday 26th March (12 weeks)
Term 3: Friday 16th April – Friday 28th May (7 weeks)

Mini-Soccer Centre Skills Term 2: £48.00
Mini-Soccer Skills Centre Term 3: £28.00
Places at the Mini-Soccer Skills Centre are limited to 27 children per term and are confirmed on a first come, first serve basis.
Goalkeeper Coaching Centre Term 1: £25.00
Goalkeeper Coaching Centre Term 2: £60.00
Goalkeeper Coaching Centre Term 3: £35.00
Places at the Goalkeeper Coaching Centre are limited to 26 children per term and are confirmed on a first come, first serve basis.
