GFA Boys Development Centre
Gloucestershire FA is delighted to announce that we will be running a new Boys Development Centre from 2020/21 onwards to aid the development of young players.
The Gloucestershire FA Boys Development Centre is a new programme designed to support the development and progression of young players in Gloucestershire who are not currently signed to a Professional Club Academy.
The Development Centre will provide supplementary support for selected players with an additional night’s training a week to their grassroots clubs’ provision, allowing players to continue playing for their grassroots club. This pathway ensures that the players’ development, health and well-being is at the forefront of the programme.
The Development Centre will provide opportunities for players in the age groups from U9s to U16s. All sessions will be based at Gloucestershire FA, Oaklands Park, Almondsbury, Bristol, BS32 4AG on the 3G Football Pitch and will take place on Tuesday evenings as detailed below.
U9, U10, U11 & U12: 4.50pm – 5.45pm
U13, U14, U14 &U16: 5.55pm – 6.50pm
The Development Centre will provide a 26-week training programme for players commencing on 10th November. The full training programme will be as follows:
- 10th November – 15th December (6 weeks)
- 5th January – 30th March (13 weeks)
- 13th April – 25th May (7 weeks)

Applications must be submitted by 1st November, however the application window may be closed early if we exceed capacity.
Please note that by completing the Application Form your child is not guaranteed a place at the Gloucestershire FA Boys Development Centre as there are limited places available within each age group. Places at the Gloucestershire FA Boys Development Centre will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis and all places will be confirmed by 4th November.
For players selected to join the Gloucestershire FA Boys Development Centre they will be invited to attend a 26-week training programme. The cost of the 26-week programme will be £160.00. Parents/guardians will have the option to pay the full £160.00 in 1 instalment or via 2 instalments of £80.00.
