Basic Referee Course in November

The Gloucestershire FA are delivering The FA Basic Referees course in November.

Awarded by The FA, this course involves a series of tutored workshops plus 6 officiated games and provides an introduction to the laws of the game as well as developing the practice skills required to be a referee.

Who is this course for?

The Basic Refereeing Course is ideally suited to you if you are interested in becoming a referee in the 11v11 game both in youth and adult football. You should also consider this course if you currently coach or volunteer and have an interest in refereeing games within your club or league. This course can be viewed as the first, crucial step to you developing as a referee before progressing through the various levels of refereeing. 

What can I expect from the course?

During this course, a series of modules will be covered. This will be a combination of classroom and practical based elements which include putting your refereeing knowledge and training into practice by completing 6 matches as a trainee referee, two of which should be observed by a referee mentor.
