The Gloucestershire FA would like to congratulate Stuart Langworthy on his richly-deserved British Empire Medal (BEM).

Stu was honoured for his Services to Association Football and Walking Football. He will be a familiar face to many around the County, having been a volunteer for over 50 years with much of that time spent locally with Abbeymead Rovers. More recently, Stu has focused on Walking Football and his work with Parkinson’s UK has helped to develop the sport for those living with Parkinson’s Disease.

Stu received his medal from the Lord Lieutenant for Gloucestershire back in October and was invited to Buckingham Palace for a celebration earlier this week.
