NHS Gloucestershire to deliver webinar on asthma in football

Do you know what to do if someone in your team has an asthma attack?

Over 1.1 million children in the UK live with asthma. It remains one of the leading causes of hospitalisation among young people.

That's why we have teamed up with NHS Gloucestershire to deliver an online session about asthma in football. The aim is to ensure that coaches and volunteers across the county are equipped to deal with asthma attacks and other issues that may arise.

When? Tuesday, June 11th at 7pm
Where? Online

This webinar is free to attend and will be delivered by Carol Stonham, Asthma Lead for NHS Gloucestershire. The session will cover:

  • How many players in your team have asthma?
  • What to do in case of an asthma attack?
  • What is an inhaler and how do they work?
  • When to use an inhaler?

Around 15% of the UK population has an asthma diagnosis, so it is vital that football acts to make sure that we protect those in our teams. Click here to sign up!
