The Summer Super League 2024
The Summer Super League returns for 2024! Make the most of those long summer evenings by enjoying some competitive action down at Oaklands Park.
The league will run throughout June and July with matches to be played on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the GFA headquarters in Almondsbury. Fixtures will kick off at 18:30 and 20:00 under the floodlights on our 3G pitch. Matches will be 11-a-side, 30 minutes each way and will have 3 match officials provided.
Teams will have three guaranteed group matches, then the top two teams from each league go into the Championship Cup knockout competition and the bottom two go into the Plate competition.
We have space for 16 teams to enter; these spots have proved extremely popular in recent years so get your expressions of interest in below ASAP!
We welcome entries from existing teams who want to use the competition as part of pre-season, and in previous years we have also had entries from groups of mates, work colleagues and new clubs. Seedings within the group stages will ensure the matches are competitive at a level suitable for all. We also accept registrations from individual players who will then be put into our ‘Just Play FC’ team and will be able to play their part.
The Summer Super League is low administration and there will be a minimal cost for participating players and teams to cover the cost of match officials and floodlight usage (exact price TBC) . There is a £100 Nando’s voucher for the winners of both cups, plus a trophy to keep.
Spaces are limited in the Summer Super League and all who register an interest will be contacted shortly with the required information to confirm complete entry.
