Previous players have spoken about the privilege to represent Gloucestershire County with a selection below.

Harvey Paul – Bristol Academy

“I’d just like to say that it has been an honour to represent the county, I have received the highest award from the county by receiving a cap and awarded the Simon Ford Trophy at the end of this season along with the captaincy, therefore I know first-hand how beneficial and rewarding it is. I have represented the county for three years and have learnt so much from the coaches especially Adam Coyle and Calum Wands.  I have always had the support from Sue and county football has driven me to continue my football career in the USA.”

Tom Anthony – SGS College

“I have played in the Under 16 and Under 18 Representative teams and I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being able to represent the county. I have been very thankful for the opportunity to play football at county level as I have never been at a pro club so it has been nice to receive my county tie, medal and cap for recognition of the hard work I’ve been putting in. I feel that I’ve developed as a player and a person by playing with a range of different people and coaches.”

Sam Lacey – Bristol Academy

“I would just like to say thank you for the opportunity of playing for the county, it has been an amazing experience working with such dedicated coaches and the support that you give has been amazing. The sense of personal achievement that I have gained by being able to obtain my county cap and being part of such a great team gives me a great sense of pride.”
