Transitioning from Youth to Adult Football

Gloucestershire FA wants to support young female players transitioning from youth to adult football.

The Gloucestershire County Women’ League and Bristol Women's Football Casual League offers players the chance to play in open aged football from the age of 16 in either their traditional 11v11 league.

However if you don’t feel quite ready to make the step into adult 11v11 football just yet then you can join the the new GFA Women’s Football 9s, or the new Women's Summer 7s league.

Finding it hard to balance your studies, social life, football and part-time job? Gloucestershire FA also have Turn Up and Play and Walking Football sessions that you can play in from the age of 16.
