WELCOME TO OUR NEWEST MEMBER OF STAFF AND THE DEVELOPMENT TEAM, hamish hurst

Hamish joins the Gloucestershire FA as our new Football Development Officer. We asked Hamish about his experience in football and what he is looking forward to in his new role.

"I am delighted to start working as a Football Development Officer focusing on facilities and funding with the Gloucestershire FA.

Football has always been a big part of my life, from watching it to playing at various levels. I currently play for Portishead Town Football Club in the Toolstation Football League, aspiring to develop and improve.

This is my first job out of university after graduating from Cardiff Metropolitan with a 2:1 in Sports Management. While studying at Cardiff Met, I worked with Sports Cardiff and Portishead Town FC, which helped me to learn and develop critical skills. This allowed me to realise that I wanted to work in football and give back to the sport that has given me so much.

I look forward to getting started and continuing my career at the Gloucestershire FA."
