How the Restart affects the Football Disciplinary Processes in Gloucestershire FA

With the restart of grassroots sport this week, we enter a unique period of football as the 2020/21 season concludes and it is important that Clubs, Leagues, Players and Referees understand the effect this has on the disciplinary processes operated by Gloucestershire FA.

Based on information provided to the GFA, we have identified how each of our sanctioned Leagues intends to restart and what the implications and expectations will be.

Competitive

Report all misconduct within 2 working days of the match.

 

Any report must include the League Name.

 

Written details of Serious Offences (eg excessive violent conduct, spitting, alleged discriminatory behaviour etc.) must be submitted in an extra-ordinary report.

 

Players with outstanding suspensions cannot play until their team has completed the required number of matches.

 

The conditions of Saturday-only or Sunday-only suspensions apply.

 

Players with a suspension from All-football cannot play for other teams.

 

Clubs must add details of matches being used to serve a suspension to the FA Whole Game System.

Red Cards will result in a 1- or 2- or 3- match suspension for the player from the team’s type of football (eg Saturday-only or Sunday-only) starting 7 days after the date of the dismissal.

 

Clubs must add details of match(es) being used to serve new suspensions to the FA Whole Game System. Details of the match must include the League Name.

Mid Glos Mini-Soccer

Plus:-

Any one-off match organised between two affiliated teams in the same or different Leagues

 

Friendly

 

(i.e. non-competitive)

Report all misconduct within 2 working days of the match.

 

Any report must be labelled ‘Friendly’ (i.e. not include the League Name).

 

Written details of Serious Offences (eg excessive violent conduct, spitting, alleged discriminatory behaviour etc.) must be submitted in an extra-ordinary report.

Players with outstanding suspensions can play for their team.

 

Any outstanding suspensions will remain ‘hanging’ until the team resumes competitive fixtures at the start of the 2021/22 season.

Red Cards will result in an immediate 1 match suspension and the player cannot play in the team’s next friendly match.

 

Clubs must add details of the match to the FA Whole Game System. This match must be labelled ‘Friendly’.

Under no circumstances can friendly matches be used to serve suspensions from competitive football.
