Gloucestershire FA Supports the Bobby Moore Fund & Cancer Research UK’s Football Shirt Friday.

Gloucestershire FA is proud to be supporting the Bobby Moore Fund & Cancer Research UK’s Football Shirt Friday again this year. The donations received are vital in raising funds to help in the battle against bowel cancer.

Former World Cup winning captain, Bobby Moore sadly passed away at the age of 51 and since his death, the Bobby Moore Fund has raised £27 million and mortality rates for bowel cancer have fallen by more than 30%.

Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK and the second biggest cancer killer. Over 42,000 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer every year in the UK. Around 268,000 people living in the UK today have been diagnosed with bowel cancer.

We want you to wear your shirt, donate and share. We want to see all your shirts this Friday. Tag us in your posts by using #GFAFriFootyShirt.
