The short online re-registration process allows you to update your contact details, complete an equality/diversity form; state the types of football you would like to cover, purchase optional accident insurance (including physiotherapy cover) and participate in the Gloucestershire FA Benevolent Fund if you wish.

A detailed guide to help you is published below.

The cost of Registration to Gloucestershire FA remains at £20.00 for the season.

FA Registration provides important benefits including Public Liability Insurance cover and it’s important to remember that if you have not registered by 1st July 2018 you should not officiate in competitions, tournaments or friendly matches until you have completed the process.

Bluefin Sport, our appointed insurance broker, provide insurance to clubs, teams, leagues and match officials with insurance products tailored to the needs of grassroots football. Referees have the option to purchase Group Personal Accident Insurance at a reduced price of £5.00.  Further details are shown in the Summary of Benefits Brochure.

Referees can also opt to participate in the Gloucestershire FA Benevolent Fund by making a voluntary donation. The Fund provides some financial support to those injured whilst officiating and suffering a loss of income.

Any Match Official (aged 16+) intending to referee youth (U18) football is required to have an in-date FA Criminal Records Check (CRC) and have completed the FA Safeguarding Children course.  To arrange for an FA CRC to be renewed or for details about the Safeguarding Children course, please contact us. Whilst there is no mandatory requirement to renew your safeguarding qualification, if you follow the attached guidance you should be able to renew your qualification knowledge free of charge.

To confirm eligibility to cover youth football, Gloucestershire FA referees are required to hold a GFA Photo ID card valid for the 2018-19 season and we are encouraging those that officiate in open age competitions to have the same.  This will be issued free of charge after the completion of registration and in time for the start of the new season.

Should you require any assistance with Referee Registration, email support@gloucestershirefa.com using ‘Referee Registration’ as the subject title.  Please remember to include your name and FA number (FAN).
