FA Regulation changes for Grassroots Football Clubs 2018-2019

FA Regulation changes for Grassroots Football Clubs

 

The Football Association has introduced a number of changes to the regulations for all clubs operating at Step 5 and below during the 2018-19 season.
 
The key changes include affecting male, female (below Women's Super League) and youth football include:-
 
• Temporary Dismissals (Sin Bins) – pilot extended to 60 Leagues nationally for the 2018-19 season.  All Leagues at Step 7 and below will use Temporary Dismissals for Dissent from the start of the 2019-20 season.  

• County FA Discipline Commissions – changes to the personnel and qualifications required to sit on discipline commissions and production of Written Reason for specific cases.

• Administration Fee – increased to £15 for non-caution offences

• Competition Specific Sanctions for Cautions – applicable to FA Competitions up to and including Quarter Final rounds

• Appealing a County FA decision – intention to appeal has been extended to 7 days from date of notification.  Formal submission is still required within 14 days from date of notification.

• Mandatory minimum sanctions – minimum sanctions introduced for assaults, physical contact or threatening match officials.

• Referee Reporting – removal of details reported by referees relating to dismissals. Whole Game will be amended by the FA to reflect changes on 15th August 2018.

• Extraordinary Reports – requirement of referees to submit extraordinary reports separate to dismissal reports.
