The Football Futures programme aims to recruit, retain, develop, reward and provide a progressive pathway for young people in football. The Youth Leadership Days will provide a great opportunity for young people to develop key knowledge and skills that are vital for working / volunteering in football and transferable across other areas. The Leadership Days also aim to support leaders that attend to get involved in football through coaching, refereeing, running events and various other ways if they are not already.

The dates and venues are as follows:

Date 1:                 Tuesday 30th May 2017
Time:                    10.00am – 4.00pm (Registration from 9.45am)
Venue:                 University of Gloucestershire, Oxstalls Campus, Oxstalls Lane, Longlevens, Gloucester, GL2 9HW

Date 2:                 Thursday 1st June 2017
Time:                    10.00am – 4.00pm (Registration from 9.45am)
Venue:                 Gloucestershire FA, Oaklands Park, Almondsbury, Bristol, BS32 4AG

Both Youth Leadership Days are free of charge. The events will include a variety of workshops based around youth leadership, to support young people to develop skills appropriate to coaching, refereeing and other leadership positions in football. Candidates will be required to bring their own lunch, refreshments and drinks for the breaks provided throughout the day.

The workshops will include a mixture of both classroom and indoor/outdoor based activities, therefore candidates will be required to bring and wear suitable clothing and equipment:
- Tracksuit/Shorts/T-Shirt (suitable clothing for practical activities)
- All Weather Pitch suitable footwear: Molded Studs / Astroturf Boots / Trainers (No metal studs/blades) and Indoor Sports Hall: Trainers
- A pen and paper / notepad
