FA Coach Mentoring - Female Coaches

Gloucestershire FA would like to hear from Female Coaches who would like to be part of our FA Coach Mentoring Programme.

The FA Coach Mentoring Programme is an investment into grassroots coaching, offering on the ground support within FA Charter Standard Clubs. The Programme provides a process whereby a coach is actively engaged in being guided towards acquiring new knowledge, feedback, ideas or advice by newly appointed FA Coach Mentor, Julie Bowler.

FA Coach Mentoring is a FREE to enter programme and coaches who access the Gloucestershire Female Coach Mentoring Programme can receive up to 50 hours support throughout the 2016-17 season.

The role of the FA Coach Mentor is to support coaches in their personal development, in training sessions and in match day situations.
The Mentoring Programme has been developed to support and encourage coaches to manage learning opportunities, maximise potential, develop their skills, improve their performance and become the coach they want to be.

HOW IS THE PROJECT SUSTAINABLE?
Throughout the duration of the Gloucestershire Female Coach Mentoring Programme, coaches will cover the topics described above. This will then create a sustainable legacy within the club environment, along with regular support from the Gloucestershire FA.

Coaches will be encouraged to set up a HIVE learning account; this service is FREE to FA Licensed Coaches Club members. Gloucestershire FA and FA Coach Mentors will upload supporting documents, session templates and additional learning opportunities onto a Female Coach Mentoring page.

Coaches will also be able to post questions and best practice onto the network page enabling Gloucestershire coaches to support each other.

WHERE WILL I COMPLETE MY MENTORING?

Coaches who access the Mentoring Network will have the opportunity to observe and deliver sessions to players within their own club initially or within a Hub Club Environment, effectively getting a group of female coaches together to support each other’s learning with the support of the mentor.
Delivery will also be within several different contexts, with the majority of the programme within grassroots football clubs; however there will also be the opportunity to observe the FA Elite Female Talent Pathway and also complete CPD hours with the FA County Coach Developer, Steve Lilley.
The FA Elite Talent Pathway sessions take place at Gloucestershire FA, BS32 4AG on Monday’s between 6pm – 9pm.

The programme is open to any female coach whether you are working with female or male players or a mixed group.

There are limited spaces available with the Gloucestershire FA Female Coach Mentoring Programme so to get involved please REGISTER YOUR INTEREST HERE.
