The FA Junior Football Leaders Award (JFL) Tutor Training Course

From January 2012 The FA’s Junior Football Organisers course (JFO) will no longer be a recognised qualification and taken off The FA Course Framework. The JFO course has been replaced with The FA Junior Football Leaders Award (JFL).

About the course: The Junior Football Leaders Award is a 6 hour course available to candidates aged from 12 years. The course provides a basic introduction to leadership skills required when involved in football. The course will primarily introduce 4 areas: Assisting Football Activity Sessions, An Introduction to refereeing, helping with a Team and Different Football Event – in addition to these areas, Respect, Promoting the Game & Developing the game will be embedded during the Guided Learning Hours.

Gloucestershire FA would like to invite all existing, qualified JFO tutors to attend the conversion course, which will allow you to become a Junior Football Leaders Award (JFL) tutor.

To become a JFL tutor, you must be an existing FA JFO tutor and you must have attended and completed The FA Youth Award-Module 1 course.

Gloucestershire FA’s Junior Football Leaders Award Tutor Training course will take place as follows:

Venue: Gloucestershire FA, Oaklands Park
Tutor: Rachael Edwards
Cost: £20.00 per person (this is a 50% discounted rate to all JFO tutors within Gloucestershire) The rate for out of County JFO tutors will be £40.00 per person.
