Governance

The Gloucestershire FA staff, working together with The GFA Board and Council, aim to deliver an effective and professional organisation for the greater good of football within the county.

The Gloucestershire FA consists of two key bodies.

The Council; comprising of 42 elected representatives from the Leagues within the county plus 21 Life Members. The Council meets 4 times per year to consider policy issues and direction, as well as to approve proposals put forward by the various committees.

Major business, strategic and commercial decisions are taken by the Main Board, comprising of six elected representatives from the Council, plus the (non-voting) GFA Chief Executive. The Board was established in 1999 to make the decision-making process more streamlined.

The web version of the GFA Handbook is available in Related Links. It is quite a large download, (6mb) but please note there are no Club or Referee contact details due to Data Protection Regulations.
