Gloucestershire FA - developing football for everyone
Get Into Football

Criminal Records Bureau

The Gloucestershire Football Association and The FA believes that football should be safe and enjoyable for all children and has introduced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks to help in this process.

No Referee can be registered if they are not complient with this check.  All registered referees appear in the County Handbook, which is produced each season.

As part of your referee qualification if you are over 18 you will be required to complete a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check, if you are in doubt please ask.

We need proof of identity identification Documents for CRB checks:

The preferred documents are:

- Passport
- Driving Licence
- Birth Certificate issued within a year of birth

If you do not have all of these, you must show a minimum of one of these and then make up to three with the following:

- Marriage Certificate
- National Insurance Number Card, addressed payslip, P45 or P60 with your NI number on it
- Birth Certificate issued after one year of birth

Please note that all documents must be the originals; photo copies can not be verified.

One of the three identity documents must show your current address. If it does not, you must provide another piece of identity that does show your current address (see list below).

In the event that you cannot produce three of the preferred documents, we can accept one from the preferred list, and two from the list below:

- Household bills and mobile phone bills – less than 3 months old
- Mortgage statement – less than 12 months old
- Bank or Building Society statement – less than 3 month old
- Connexions card
- Shotgun licence
- Evidence of GCSE or A-level results with name
- Adoption Certificate
- Valid vehicle registration document
- NHS card

On receipt of the disclosure please inform Roger Goodwin.
