All referee courses
For candidates who are under the age of 16 a Safe Guarding Children DVD will need to be completed prior to the first evening. This is sent to you prior to the course if your application is successful. Failure to complete this might result in you being removed from the course.
As part of any referee qualification/course, if you are over 18, you will be required to complete a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.

Small Sided courses
This course is for Referees who want to referee for commercial providers, for example, Goals and Pitch Invasion.

Futsal
Futsal is a variant of football that is played on a smaller playing surface and mainly played indoors. It is played with a heavier ball and normally has three officials officiating each game.
A futsal course is likely to take place in Gloucestershire before the end of the season.

11-a-side courses
An examination of your knowledge of the laws of the game will be taking place on the first evening. Pre-course material will be sent to successful candidates prior to the course for revision.
All candidates are required to attend all the dates on the course programme and are required to complete 6 11-a-side games after passing the examination. As these are part of the qualification you will need to complete the games given. These games will be allocated to you depending on what pack you sign up for.

The games will start no later than 2 weeks after you have taken your examination (module 3). Referees are expected to arrive at the ground no later than 30 minutes prior to kick off.
Package A (Referees who are 16+ yrs of age only)
6 x 11 a side games on a Saturday morning generally with a kick off time of 10am.
Package B (Referees who are 16+ yrs of age only)
6 x 11 a side games on a Saturday afternoon generally with a kick off time of 2 or 3pm.
Package C (Referees who are 16+ yrs of age only)
6 x 11 a side games on a Sunday morning generally with a kick off time of 10am.
Package D (Referees who are 14+ yrs of age)
6 x 11 a side games on a Sunday afternoon generally with a kick off time of 2pm.
