School Club Links 2011/12

The School Club Links programme is a key strategy used by the Gloucestershire FA in developing opportunities in mini soccer and youth football for boys and girls aged 5-16. The programme looks to develop effective and sustainable links between schools and local clubs to provide continuous access to football for children and young people.

Through the School Club Links programme, the Gloucestershire FA aims to:

• Ensure children and young people are provided with the opportunity to participate in football outside of the school environment
• Provide children and young people with a positive and fun introduction to football with access to continue their development in an FA Charter Standard Club
• Increase the number of children and young people aged 5-16 participating in football on a regular basis within an FA Charter Standard Club
• Develop sustainable partnerships between FA Charter Standard Clubs and local schools to continue offering children and young people the opportunity to get involved with regular football
