FA Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football
The FA Level 1 (Club Coach) course has replaced the Junior Team Manager (JTM) course. The course is designed to provide a basic introduction to coaching children up to 16 years of age. There is a balanced mix of practical and theory, including emergency aid, child protection and long term player development modules. Our experienced team of FA qualified tutors provide a quality service designed to support candidates through the course ensuring that individual needs are catered for.
Coaching Disabled Footballers Certificate
The Coaching Disabled Footballers course is designed to give football coaches and teacher’s ideas and practices for the inclusion of disabled players in football sessions within mainstream or impairment specific sessions. The course lasts 1 day and is both practical and theory based.
FA Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football (UEFA B Part 1)
The Level 2 Coaching Certificate has been designed for candidates who have had some experience of participation in regular football, at any level, and wish to become more committed to coaching football. A contact time of some 60 hours of guided learning, provides practical demonstrations of basic techniques including passing, ball-control, running with the ball, turning, dribbling, shooting, heading, and goalkeeping plus the principles of attack and defence, warm up and cool down. Theory includes planning, preparing and evaluating coaching sessions, football fitness, football food, long term player development, emergency aid, health and safety, laws of the games and overuse injuries.
FA Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Football (UEFA B Award)
The Level 3 certificate is for coaches over the age of 18 who hold the Level 2 Certificate and work with a team over an extensive period of time aiming to make a significant contribution to their performance. The course involves a contact time of some 90 hours of guided learning providing practical demonstrations of development of possession, movement to create space, counter-attacking play, play in the attacking third, regaining possession, defending in the thirds of the field and goalkeeping. Theory includes the learning and coaching process, match and player analysis, team organisation: strategies and tactics, psychological factors, football fitness, football food, injury identification, aspects of first aid, drug awareness and education, preparing, planning, and evaluating coaching session in conjunction with competitive match programmes and attitudes and ethics.
