The FA Child Protection Best Practice Workshop
For all coaches, medics and referees in football where youngsters are involved, including where Under 18s are playing adult football. For those involved with Charter Standard or taking coaching, medical and refereeing qualifications, Child protection and best practice is mandatory. Ideally applicants are 18 years of age or over. The workshop requires some emotional maturity to deal with content, as well as some experience in leadership roles in order to apply a context for dealing with child welfare issues. Topics covered include Making football safe, Why football needs to tackle the issue, Best Practice, Signs, symptoms and forms of abuse and Taking action.
PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is included as part of all FA Level 1 courses
