British Blind Sport

This year’s British Blind Sport Junior 5-side Football Tournament will take place on Saturday 12th May 2012 at the @Futsal Ltd, 20 Great King Street, Birmingham, B19 2LF.

Entry Criteria - the tournament is open to boys and girls across the VI spectrum which includes blind (B1) and partially sighted (B2, B3) players. We will use school year groups for the competition, and categories for these are listed on the entry form.

Individual Entry - if you do not have enough players to form a team individuals can be entered and they will be combined to make up ‘Select’ teams so that as many young people as possible can participate.

Tournament Schedule - the format for the day will be confirmed once the number of teams/participants is known nearer the date.

Deadline for Entry - Friday 19th April 2012

Photography - photographs of the football event will be taken for publicity purposes only. Please can you make me aware of any young person who must not have their photograph taken and where parental consent has not been given.

Medical - I would advise team managers that a parental consent form should be completed and brought with them for reference in the event of any medical attention being required.

Food and Beverage – I would advise that participants need to bring their own food and drink for the day. @Futsal does have some food and drink available for purchase but this is limited i.e. nachos, hot-dogs, vending machines.

The FSP website is now LIVE
As seen at The Grass Roots Exhibition NEC

Start making your Football match day programmes Now.

Fundraising Sports Programmes is a brand new initiative putting money straight back into the grassroots of football.
The programmes are available for youth and adult teams. You input the information on our user friendly site and you receive a fantastic personalised team match day programme. The response across the country has been fantastic and we are very much looking forward to helping clubs throughout the UK in their fund raising activities.

We have made available for FREE 25 programmes for the first two teams signed up per club for a maximum of 15 games.

What to do next

The first step is to go to the website www.fundraisingsportsprogrammes.com to qualify for free programmes. We will then send you an e mail with a unique Club Password which you will need to pass on to other team managers in your club so they can register their teams too.

The website is very straightforward and will guide you through the club/team set up process. Much of the data is only required at the start of the season, e.g. club colours, badge or logo, player names etc. If there are more than 2 teams in your club who are going to register, you will need to decide which 2 teams are going to get your allocation of free programmes.

There are 3 advert spaces to sell in every programme to help you kick off your fundraising. Each team will also need to decide whether they are going to raise further funds through player sponsorship or selling up to 8 further adverts – you must select which option you want at the team set up stage. After that it just requires a few minutes a week per Team Manager to record the results, match stats and report and update sponsorship/advertising data ready for the next match.
It really is as simple as that!

Good luck for the big kickoff
I’m sure you are all itching to get the new season underway – FSP wishes all the teams in your club the best of luck for the season ahead, which we hope will be your most successful and prosperous yet.
