Gloucestershire FA's 2008-12 Strategy in the area of Football Development is focused on:
- Growth and retention – sustaining and increasing the number of players.
- Raising standards and addressing abusive behaviour – creating a safe and positive environment.
- Developing better players – focusing on the 5-11 age group
This will be achieved through three key areas of work; Club Development, Education Development and the Football Workforce.
We endeavor to ensure that all young people have the opportunity to participate in high quality football activity by developing a countywide network of Charter Standard schools with exit routes to Charter Standard clubs. We are currently working with an growing number of partners to increase delivery capacity within the communities of Gloucestershire. These partners include Local Authorities, Glospact, WESPORT, School Sport Partnerships, Hartpury College, Filton College, Local Universities, the Regional Sports Board and numerous local community groups.
